So here I am, 29, and every single year I missed the anniversery of the exploding whale.  That's right, in Oregon, 1970, a dead whalewashed up on the beach and the officials couldn't figure out what to do with it, so they loaded it up with dynamite, and blew it up.  I heard about it on the Skeptic's Guide to the Universe.  They have an awesome podcast where all kinds of science and paranormal topics are reported and viewed with a skeptical bent, and some pretty cool interviews and other segments. 

So I'm pretty sure that if I was a city official, I'd be smart enough to NOT let anyone pack a whale with explosives, but I'm pretty sure if I were 15, that's the first thing I'd do!!!
