My Blackjack II

I've had a Samsung Blackjack II for a few months, thanks to my wonderful woman Leeanne, but I never really got around to using much other than the calendar.   After having a few problems with some functions, a coworker suggested that I upgrade the platform to Windows Mobile 6.1.  Wow.

Before anybody calls me names for just now getting it, yes, I know that it was released sometime last year.  And no, I'm not impressed only with the upgrade.  Today, I found help on a site called My Blackjack II which details and compiles several favorite programs for the blackjack ii.  I know I'm a bit of a late bloomer, but I'm totally tickled over all the bitchin Windows Mobile software I can get for absolutely nothing.

I think my new favorite has to be Mobipocket. It's a really cool FREE app that lets you subscribe to rss feeds via your desktop (including blogs, though I am mostly subscribed to news), and then it will sync them all to your windows mobile device, like my blackjack ii.  Additionally, you can import damned near any word format into it's library and sync it up.  Doc, PDF, Html, text, whatever, just click click and there ya go, a book on your phone.  I used to read a TON when I was younger, and I think that the biggest reason I don't anymore is just because I don't take the time to haul around a book for the couple of minutes I might find to read.  I've already got 8 classics loaded up and ready to go.

Aside from that uberfunctional program, the rest of them are going to be things that make it easier to use, like the text bubble, being able to turn off the sent message note, a locked down clock, etc.  I love this phone.
