Well, not for me, but for a bunch of kids in Colorado, anyway.  Yup, they're getting rid of traditional grades, and even grade levels for that matter.  Turns out that they're modeling the new system on a podunk district in Alaska where it showed remarkable results for its 250 students.  I'm pretty sure that scalability is a bear, and I know that you can't always expect things that work small scale to work large scale.

I am, however, happy that somebody is laying it on the line to try SOMETHING that isn't incremental.  If you want drastic results, make drastic changes.  Lots of luck to you, Colorado!!!
