Al-Zeidi

In just three months or so, the guy that chucked his shoes at Bush in December has been sentanced to three years in prison.  Bunch of ignorant tards that they are, many Iraqis have elevated this clown to celebrity status.  I'm not sure which part of this situation I need to mock first.

First off, this guy would have certainly been tortured and fed to the woodchipper for embarrassing Sadaam Hussein like that, no question.  Second, if he feels that strongly, he should be doing more than hurling his loafers, he should try a little bit harder to get his own damned country in order.  As far as I can find, he's a reporter and doesn't seem to have much influence anywhere.  And last, he didn't even hit Bush.  If you're a nation of clowns that is going to applaud some jackass who isn't worth a hill of beans, at least pick one with good aim.

I'll agree that 3 years is probably a little stern, but the argument his lawyer is using-"he didn't even hit bush, it's an insult, not an assault"- doesn't hold water because he TRIED to hit Bush.  I understand that this whole court thing is a little new to them, but that's an argument our 11 year old would make.  It just makes me feel sick.
