The will to survive
A Kenyan man had to fight with a snake that caught him by surprise. The article doesn't mention how big the snake was, but did mention that it was large enough to haul the man up into a tree and escape from three bags secured by people who were familiar with securing wildlife.
At one point, the guy even bit the snake, which seems to have distracted the snake long enough for the man to reach his cell phone, which ultimately led to his deliverence.
I like to post stories a lot about people struggling with animals, because I maintain this image of people as being at a huge disadvantage to natural predators that spend their entire lives fighting and struggling for survival, and while 9 times out of ten the wild animal wins, it's just fantastic to me to see a person win. It's even more fantastic when that person doesn't live in the bush, as it were, but either way, our teeth, our hands, our feet, and even our joints aren't well suited to hand-to-claw combat.

Hey Tony,
Congrats to you and Leeanne on your upcoming blessed event (well, 9 months from now). Still at the Corral. Only work days now 30 hrs. per wk. so I should be ok with Social Security. Have the weekends off so I get to do plenty of fishing.
Got a 55 on our CSQ! Lyle from GC Corp. HQ (Was the head instructor when I got certifies) & Robin (who was my first FSC in Ohio) gave it, but my knowing them apparently didn't help.
Hang in there bud.

Yeah yeah, I remember Lyle. They all gave me a bunch of crap because I carried around a gallon of water with me all the time. 55, wow. Never failed a CSQ when I was there, not even the first one that everybody else was failing.
I'm not quite sure how you pulled weekends off!! I hope the fishing is good. Aside from the fact that I just got put back on six days for a labor issue that is out of my control because the GM doesn't think we know what we're doing (read, she writes projections, schedules, hiring, training hours, refuses to let us cut people out until she leaves, and now we're on average 250 hours over chart each week), things aren't too bad. But the whole 6 day week is starting to put a lot of stress negativity on everything else I do. It's making me frickin miserable, and something has to give or I'm gonna find another job. I was ready to quit when I took this one.
Anyway, I heard Justin got canned; I thought it would take a lot longer than that! Also heard that Monica is working as assistant manager and Jeff had to go to Pompano. Tell everyone I said hey, and send them to the blog so they can see what's up and say hi.

I like your style, the fact that your site is a little bit different makes it so interesting, I get fed up of seeing same-old-same-old all of the time. I've just stumbled this page for you
