Another freaking pirate attack. Seriously, somebody has got to stop this crap.  Thankfully, the Italian ship had some security forces on board that repelled the pirates, but this is a limited solution.  Apparently they only had handguns, and Israeli or not, I'm pretty sure that eventually security forces will have to escalate their resistance armory.  It's only a matter of time before the pirates start bringing something more than small arms, themselves.

The problem is that they are funded by organizations with a LOT of resources, and they stand to profit by incredible amounts, maybe $1million per hijacking, so if you think that they'll never get around to showing up with rocket launchers and RPGs, you're mistaken.  I'm pretty sure that security teams will start thinking twice after a couple ships are sunk that wouldn't just give up.

Either way, it's high time somebody got down there and started making some changes in the way those governments are enforcing their laws, or even what their laws are.
