tax burden a la carte
Well here's one that identity theft protection wouldn't have helped. Apparently a 61 year old woman has been keeping her dead mother in a bedroom for aabout 6 years. She claims that she didn't have enough money for a burial. Oddly enough, my bs detector is reading pretty high because she's been collecting her mother's social security and military pension, totalling about $200,000. WTF?
That's over $30,000 a year, plus whatever money she gets from the government or a job for herself. Plenty of people are living on less than that AND raising children. So, I'm not buying it. She did it for the money. And you and I paid for it. Nice. Now the 61-year old woman is staring down a 15 year jail sentance, which I'm sure will not be served, although, at least she'd still be on the taxpayer's dime.
