Figures. Here it goes...

So again, I'm a little slow.  But I am finally getting to the story of the White House excluding Fox from an interview with a high ranking official.  Here is a quick story about the evolution of the event.  In a nutshell, the White House tried to sidestep Fox News, likely because their reporting hasn't been as favorable as the other networks.  It's no secret that Obama doesn't handle criticism well, and every time I think of that, I remember when he got bent out of shape during the debates because somebody pointed out that he had big ears.  Who cares if you got pick on as a kid, Barack?  You are now the leader of the free world.  GROW UP.

What really bothers me is that it isn't even a year into his presidency, and already we are seeing this kind of move to marginalize the only network giving a significant amount of time against the health care reform that is progressing.  Where does it go from here? What can we expect in year four?  Year seven if he gets re-elected?

Say what you want about Bush, but at least he wasn't afraid to take on the news networks that were perputually against everything republican.

I'd like to take a moment to say that I'm proud of the other news networks for standing up and refusing to take interviews themselves unless Fox were included.  I know that it was at least half out of self interest; maybe one of them would have been next on the "no-fly" list and they saw the writing on the wall.  But at any rate, they realized that the president needs the news for publicity more than they need him for a story.  After all, I heard another kid is going to try to go cross country in a balloon.
