Of the Arawak indians.  Here is a well written article.  Sure wish I would have learned this kind of stuff in school.  It is certainly much more interesting to learn the evil potential of the world than the fluffy crap that we're fed.  There is certainly a perspective on Columbus much different than what I learned.  Kind of telling, though, that the reason he perpetrated such horrible acts basically boils down to his lack of skill in being an effective leader and planner, someone who was unprepared to handle the results of the voyage he was taking.  Like so many people we know today.
