No more cable

Well, we finally did away with the cable bill today.  Leeanne realized that she didn't watch it all that much anyway, and what she did watch just seemed to be repetitive programming, where every day is just the same soup, different bowl.  I think eventually she'll be ok without it.  I didn't have cable for almost 5 years before I met her, and I just watched more movies, read more books, hung out more in the garage.

I think she will miss her Price is Right, though.  She's grown quite fond of Drew Carey, even though she almost stopped watching when Bob retired.  One of these days I'll be able to get her a ticket to go to the show.  She always wanted to win the car, but she'd probably just end up bringing home some Jack Georges luggage instead.

That and Wheel of Fortune, although the show moves too damned fast now.  I can't keep up with it.  I think it's an A.D.D. thing.  Seems like they don't have the attention span to finish a puzzle anymore.  Every 5 minutes....DING DING DING.  What happened to letting people stare at the board and look stupid because they couldn't solve it and knew that MILLIONS of people watching at home 6 months from now already figured it out.  Anyway, it's all gotten crappy, except what I can get on netflix anyway.
