Jack Clark

Well, on my way home from work today, I was listening to one of my favorite podcasts, "Blast the Right," by Jack Clark , the rational radical as he likes to call himself.  Now, first a disclaimer.  It took me a really long time to like this guy.  A really VERY long time, unlike some of my other favorites like "The Skeptic's Guide to the Universe" or "Common Sense."  But for some reason or other, every time I'd quit listening to him, I'd end up finding the podcast again and catching up.

I think one of the reasons I like him is because he does his homework and no matter how outrageous some of the claims he makes, he always has figures to back them up, and provides convenient links to them.  It's probably this style of logic and transparency that hooked me.  At any rate, I can credit him with single handedly nudging my political views closer to the center.

Back to today.  Jack was tearing apart some comments that he heard on a news station about the rich being unfairly targeted by the government and how bad that was for the economy and the job outlook.  By the time he was done, I was beginning to think that maybe those commentators should be doing colon cleanse reviews instead of news analysis.  At any rate, you can check out that episode right here .  Happy listening.
