Where is science?

You know, I'm sure that somewhere there is a real scientific study that answers the question, "do anti wrinkle creams work?"  I'll be danged if I can find it, though.  I guess most of the money is spent on finding drugs that work, like retin-a, or maybe they make the tests because they really DO work.  Does that mean that anti wrinkle cream won't work?  Probably not.  Because the only testing that will likely ever get done is by the people who stand to make money if it does, or people who stand to make money if it doesn't.  There is the long shot that a cream might make it into a government lab if it hurts someone, but then it will probably be tested only for safety and not efficacy.  Since I can't think of a situation where anyone would make money for a product NOT working, only the manufacturers of a cream would have a reason to test the cream, and who would believe a scientific study funded by the company that will make money off the sale?
