Well, with the Pres always talking about clean, renewable energy, I wonder where he is on this ?  I'm sure that it won't create quite as many jobs as building windmills, and the plant would take longer to build, but come on.  It's high time we put billions of dollars into something like this.  Let's see, uranium dangerous, thorium not so much.  Uranium = weapons, thorium = no weapons.  Uranium = lots of highly radioactive waste with a long life, thorium = tiny bits of less radioactive waste with short life AND the reactor can dispose of old-school waste to generate power.  Uranium can go critical and meltdown, Thorium will fizzle if left alone and is subcritical.  Uranium is mostly found in Asia, Thorium is most found in the US.  Let's roll on this, huh?
